Cocobolo Inc., Rare Tropical Hardwoods
Rare Tropical Hardwoods

The name of this company is COCOBOLO INC. My three partners and I were born and raised in Central America. We had unlimited access to a wide variety of the most beautiful woods in the world. Upon moving to the United States, we were amazed at the high prices and unavailability of the woods we were accustomed to using. It is for this reason, we decided to start our own company.

We are sensitive to the rain forest environment. Our hardwoods are only cut six days out of the month (during the "menguante"and the "crecente"). Some of our woods come from inundated river basins resulting from hydroelectric projects and others are harvested from government controlled reforestation programs.

Listed below are the exotic hardwoods we have in stock year round. We realize, that there are many people out there who appreciate the beauty, but not the price,of these fine woods. Click on the name of each hardwood for a more detailed description. Please keep in mind that these pictures cannot capture the true beauty of these fine woods. Enjoy.
